Andrew Clayburn
Washington University in St. Louis
(He/Him/His)
I’m Andrew Clayburn. I was raised a military brat (father was in the military) and then joined the Army myself through ROTC, so I’ve been moving and traveling all over the world since day one pretty much. That kind of makes me from everywhere and nowhere I guess. I studied mechanical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis before entering the Army where I spent 5 years doing missile and air defense operations in Qatar, Korea, and Texas. It was my time in the military that got me interested in rehabilitation medicine through the tough realities of military life and the effects on Soldiers. I am excited about Stanford where I can hopefully integrate my interests in rehabilitation, global health/disparities and preventative medicine. I also enjoy acroyoga, soccer, piano, rock climbing, and just about anything outdoors in the sun.
