May Meetup Details:

Our keynote for the May 2 event will be a panel of Central Texas Angel Network (CTAN) representatives, including Executive Director Claire England and Board members Tom Rogers and Rick Timmins. The panel discussion will include strategies for getting funded, how to approach angel investors, and most effective tactics for presenting to an angel group. We've asked CTAN to listen to some of your pitches after the panel discussion and provide feedback, so we'll close the keynote with five entrepreneur pitches.

Having invested more than $68 million in 127 companies since 2006, CTAN is the most active single-chapter angel group in the country and a significant source of early-stage capital to entrepreneurs. The nonprofit, member-based organization represents more than 150 individual accredited investors from a wide variety of sectors. Many of its members are active in the startup ecosystem, mentoring entrepreneurs and connecting them to business resources, providing critical support to the success of early-stage business and the Texas economy.

CTAN’s mission is two-fold: 1) Provide quality early-stage investment opportunities for accredited angel investors; and 2) Assist entrepreneurs and startups by serving as a key source of funding, mentorship, strategic advice, and educational resources.
